Training
Clare Haven has been providing support services to women and children experiencing domestic abuse for 30 years. We are the frontline service providing emergency response to victims of domestic abuse in Co Clare
Clare Haven Training is led by the practitioners in both our women’s and Children & Young People’s Services to ensure you get reality based content of the experience in Clare.
Clare Haven offers a Domestic Violence awareness training for people who want to increase their awareness of domestic abuse and brief interventions. This training is aimed primarily at professionals who may encounter domestic abuse in the course of their work. However, it is also open to anyone who wants to learn more about domestic violence and the work that domestic violence services provide.
Benefits of Our Training
Domestic Violence affects 1 in 4 women in Ireland. Frontline workers will gain an increased knowledge of what domestic abuse is, how to respond to a disclosure, how to provide a brief intervention and what services are available to their clients.
The training can be modified so it is bespoke to a specific sector, profession or industry. We also speak to community groups, sports bodies and interest groups. We pitch and time the training to suit the needs of the training participants. As a result our training will benefit anyone who wants to learn more about domestic abuse.
